A fantastic nights racing at Tir Prince was capped by a very accomplished performance by Rocker Laidlaw on the favorite Stoneriggs Mystery winning the Crock of Gold Final. Rocker took the lead before the 1/2 mile marker and contolled the race. On the last bend there were five horses in a line and it looked anyones race but a change of pace down the home straight took Stoneriggs Mystery clear to finish 4 lengths ahead of fast finishing Mick Lord on Rhyds Five Star and the second favorite For a Few Dollars more and the other Scottish hopeful Astounding in fourth.
